Research Services Training Programme

The Research Services Training Programme (RSTP) is an online course that has been designed to enable users to gain an understanding of the main aspects of the grant submission and award processes. It is designed for staff who are new to Research Services or as a refresher for existing staff. 

The programme is divided into 9 parts with parts 1 to 4 covering the main aspects of the grant submission process from the costing pricing of research projects to submission of applications for funding. Parts 5 to 9 cover activities from awarding projects and recruiting project staff to dealing with project amendments and extensions. The training does not need to be completed in one go, it has been broken down into parts to allow users to work at their own pace.
