Research impact training
We offer five research impact training modules, which are are available through the Training Catalogue. They are cross discipline and open to early career researchers (ECRs), mid and late-stage researchers and Professional Services colleagues, where relevant to their roles.
They cover:
- Introduction to research impact – what impact is (and isn’t) and key elements of impact planning and delivery;
- Planning for research impact – including in grant applications;
- Communicating your research – with a wide variety of groups and audiences;
- Working with external stakeholders to achieve research impact;
- Evidencing research impact.
A self-service version of the Introduction to Research Impact module is available for those who are unable to attend the live events. You can access this via https://manchester.ac.uk/lifelonglearning (search the Catalog for ‘research impact’).
The self-service module has been adapted from, and runs alongside, the live sessions; there is no need to undertake both. If you have not used the Lifelong Learning portal before, you will need to create an account (via the ‘Sign Up’ icon using Microsoft Edge as your web browser). In order to access this course, your Lifelong Learning account will need to be set up with a University of Manchester email address.
