Ethics
Watch the film and hear colleagues reflect on the complicated relationship between formal ethics processes and participatory research practices
Everybody we spoke to raised the subject of ethics - whether the misalignment between formal university ethics processes and participatory research processes, or the importance of ethical engagement. We are actively responding to those reflections and they'll be at the heart of our work going forward.

Featured research projects
The three research projects featured in this film were Organisations of Hope - a project to build a creative consortium for health equity in Greater Manchester, 'Ethics considerations in co-produced research' and 'Participatory research, creative methods and the University Research Ethics Committee (UREC) framework. The latter two were internal scoping projects, which informed our current work to establish a more flexible and responsive system for engaged research. You can read more about this on the projects page.
