Funding Opportunities
Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF ) - PhD with integrated teaching certificate programme
Project proposals are now being accepted for this programme. Deadline for proposals: Sunday 8th December 2019
These studentships will support the development of high quality research projects that fall within ‘The Environment’, ‘Health and Wellbeing', including non-communicable disease, or the remit of the University’s research beacons ‘Energy’ or Global Inequalities.’ All projects are required to focus on addressing challenges facing developing countries and should look to capitalise on existing UoM - DAC partnerships to ensure supervisory capacity. Preference will be given to projects involving academics in Low Income and Lower Middle Income Countries on the DAC List of ODA Recipients
Priority will be given to high quality PhD candidates from DAC countries in order to deliver maximum benefit in those DAC countries. However, high quality non-DAC applicants may be considered on projects that can demonstrate the research provides clear outcomes that offers significant benefit to the recipient DAC country and opportunity to build capacity.
Project proposal guidance and application form
Project proposals should be accompanied by a maximum one-page ODA compliance statement
