What is the Our PS Hub?

The Our PS Hub is Here to Help You

The Hub is dedicated to supporting you in enhancing your skills and knowledge, fostering a culture of collaboration, and innovation aligned with our PS Vision. We recognise that how we will achieve our vision and goals is through working collaboratively across PS and the University as a whole. To do that we know there is benefit in having one online hub to support colleagues in aligning, connecting and understanding the work happening to realise our vision and core goals.

This is just the beginning. In the spirit of our vision and goals around agility, innovation, and inclusivity - we are looking to take a different and iterative approach here with building this online Hub. As we grow in delivering our PS vision and goals, this online hub will grow and develop over time, with new tools, resources, and opportunities added based on your needs. We are committed to evolving the Hub to better support you and adapt as our Professional Services community moves forward.

Why do we need a Hub?

The philosophy behind the Our PS Hub is simple:

  • We all have a role in making Professional Services (PS) better.
  • Our colleagues are resourceful, capable, and know how best to drive improvements in their own areas.
  • But the University is a large and complex institution, and navigating it can be challenging when you're looking to make meaningful changes.

That’s where the Our PS Hub comes in. The Hub is designed to provide ideas, stories, resources, and tools to inspire, guide, and support you as you work to improve your day-to-day operations:

  • What tools and frameworks should I use to enhance processes in my team?
  • Where can I find expertise and experience to help me?
  • What am I empowered to take action on, and are there governance structures I need to consider?
  • Does my local initiative fit into a larger, university-wide strategy?
  • Am I aligned with PS or University-wide priorities?
  • How do I share my success stories and ensure my voice is heard?

These are just a few of the practical questions that the Hub is here to help you answer. When left unresolved, they can become roadblocks to progress—but the Hub can clear the way for you.

Over the past six months, we've worked with colleagues from across the University to co-create and test a vision for PS. This vision outlines an organisation delivering service excellence in a way that is agile, inclusive, and sustainable. It represents a significant step forward from where we are today—an organisation better equipped to support the University’s academic mission in the years to come.

The PS Vision acts as a North Star, providing a clear framework for us all. But it only becomes meaningful when we interpret it in our own local contexts, through the decisions we make and the priorities we set within our teams and stakeholder groups. The Hub is here to support you in bringing this vision to life, unlocking the potential of thousands of colleagues in the collective pursuit of improving PS.

Improving PS is a shared challenge—and an exciting opportunity—that requires a collective response. Every one of us has a role to play, both individually and as part of a team. We encourage you to explore the Hub, return often to see new updates, and share your feedback on how we can make it even more valuable for everyone.

Together, we’ll continue to build the Hub into an ever-richer resource that grows and evolves to meet your needs.
