Key Focus: Managing IT access after leaving.
- Extended Access for Leavers: Managers can explore details on how to obtain extended access for their staff once their contracts come to an end.
- Research staff: Managers can request extended access to emails and e-resources for research staff after the expiry of research roles linked to finite funding. The extension can be for 12 months beyond leaving date and is allocated in blocks of 6 weeks. Researchers who resign before the expiry of their contract can still request extended access by obtaining approval from their Head of Department/School/Division and by requesting people.globalmobility@manchester.ac.uk for access.
- Academic staff: Managers can request extended access for academic staff by undertaking the Visitor process. The former line manager/nominator needs to complete the visitor form and send it to people.globalmobility@manchester.ac.uk along with the employee’s CV and passport for processing.
- Support staff: Managers can request extended access for support staff by completing the IT Account Application Form. The former line manager/nominator needs to send the completed form to people.globalmobility@manchester.ac.uk.
