What to do in an emergency
It is important to be aware of support available and what to do in the event of accidents and crime on campus and your reporting responsibilities.
- In the event of an emergency the Security Team is the first point of contact, providing advice, liaison and assistance. If you feel your safety is threatened on campus or in the event of a serious accident or crime, the team may need to co-ordinate access for the emergency services. Please note their 24 hr contact tel: 0161 306 9966. This number is also on the back of your Staff ID card.
- The Occupational Health Service has information and support for first aid on campus, the location of defibrillators (AEDs) and other NHS support services.
- In the event of an accident at work you need to report this to the University's Safety Services Team.
