What is Managing at Manchester?

Our cohorts for the 2024/2025 academic year are now fully subscribed. If you are interested in applying for the next available cohort, please express your interest and we will get in touch when applications reopen.

Managing at Manchester is aimed at colleagues in a line management role with direct reports. We select applicants based on the fact they are in a current management role or have a date to commence a new management role in the very near future.

The programme builds confidence and skills so managers can enhance their personal impact and work effectively with their people.

Management theory, case studies, practical exercises, group discussions, pre and post learning as well as working with other managers help to share experiences, practise skills and gain feedback in a risk-free environment.

Managing at Manchester is an internal Organisational Development Team designed programme. Following this development programme, you may want to gain a qualification, we recommend exploring our Level 3 or Level 5 qualifications
