Tenth issue of “The Manchester Review” now live

The Manchester Review is the Centre for New Writing’s online literary journal and is edited by the Centre’s co-directors John McAuliffe and Ian McGuire, and Jodie Kim and Valerie O’Riordan.
The tenth issue of The Manchester Review is the most various yet and draws on a wide variety of English writing:
- New Zealander Emma Martin, Australian Michael Farrell and Filipino writer Vince Serrano are joined by Irish poet Conor O’Callaghan, the American writers Carlos Cunha and Joshua Marie Wilkinson and Canada’s Anne Compton;
- Closer to home, Janet Wolff’s stunning non-fiction draws on her work as an art historian to complement memories of her Manchester family and childhood and young British poets Joey Connolly, Alys Conran, Richie McCaffery, Jen Campbell, Joe Dresner and Martin Monahan feature alongside Kathryn Simmonds, Allison MacVety and Peter Sansom.
The Manchester Review is also proud to publish an extract from our current writer fellow Marli Roode's terrific first novel, Call it Dog, due out next month from Atlantic, and an extract from poet Justin Quinn's first novel, Mount Merrion.
