The Undergraduate Student Recruitment Team is looking for a small number of staff to support an enhanced engagement with parents as part of our next Open Day on Friday, 21 and Saturday, 22 June.
For this to be credible, we prefer to use members of staff who have recent experience of a child leaving home to go to university. This enhanced work is in response to the recent Student Barometer survey, which showed that parental influence on University choice has increased dramatically.
We need members of staff to support a stand in the Student Experience Exhibition in the Whitworth Hall. This will involve speaking informally with parents, offering practical advice as they prepare to send their child to university and helping to address any concerns they may have. There will be many other exhibition stands in the Whitworth Hall: Accommodation, Finance, IT Services, Study Abroad and Library. Full briefing and support will be offered.
