Apple iOS 6.1.2 update fixes Outlook calendar issue

Advice for users of Apple iPhones and iPads using their device with Outlook calendar.
Apple has now released a minor upgrade (iOS 6.1.2) which fixes the problem that caused repeat notifications from the mobile device (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) to be sent to your University mailbox. This issue also drained the battery quite quickly as the device was continually contacting the University systems.
Therefore the advice IT Services gave on 12 February no longer applies.
What should I do?
Owners of iDevices should now upgrade to iOS 6.1 as long as it is the latest release (6.1.2).
If you are already running iOS 6.1, you may need to check for the software update in order to download and install it.
To do this, visit:
- Settings > General > Software Update.
Check which version of iOS you are running by visiting:
- Settings > General > About
