Update on the implementation of new Taught Degree Regulations
04 Feb 2013
New Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught Degree Regulations were introduced for new students commencing their studies at the University from September 2012.
An implementation plan is underway to embed these new Regulations, to ensure that staff members are aware of them and to answer any queries relating to the new Regulations.
As part of the implementation, a list of staff members closely related to the work of Examination Boards has been collated (from information provided by Heads of Schools and Heads of School Admin). These staff members were invited to attend briefing sessions in mid January.
The slides and video presentation from the briefing sessions are available at the New Degree Regulations webpage:
The list of staff members will also form a Degree Regulations Network, which will be contacted with details of any amendments or news about the Degree Regulations, and will also act as a consultation group in terms of future development. If you are not already receiving updates from this network and would like to, you can contact Miriam Graham (m.graham@manchester.ac.uk) who will add you to the list.
The webpage also contains the Regulations themselves, alongside supporting documentation such as a Guide to the Regulations, a glossary of terms and sample text for inclusion in programme handbooks. News and updates about the new Regulations are recorded on the webpage too.
A list of Frequently Asked Questions is currently being prepared, following the briefing sessions, to collate a number of queries received from staff members and the answers to these, so that everyone can benefit from them.
