February Cycle to Work and GM Police cycle safety event
31 Jan 2013
February’s Cycle to Work is back on home turf, with the routes converging on Eats Refectory, University Place, for the free breakfast (£3 voucher) from 8.15am to 9am on Wednesday, 6 February.
Please come along and join one of the series of rides led in by our fantastic volunteer Route Guides and an update on the latest cycling information around Manchester.

Greater Manchester Police cycle safety event
After the Cycle to Work breakfast (exact times to be confirmed), Greater Manchester Police will be staging a cycle safety event outside University Place.
There'll be a bus and HGV cab on site, along with a host of other cycle-related information. The focus will be on increasing understanding of the blind spots of large vehicles (you can sit in the driver’s seat and see the blind spots marked out on the ground) and educating people about the requirements for winter cycling.
Please note: over the coming weeks, GMP may have a presence on Oxford Road for the purpose of ticketing cyclists who break the law (e.g. no lights, running red lights, cycling on the pavement etc). The ticket and fine will be rescinded if the offender attends an education session in the vicinity (these will be open to all, details to follow).
