Dermatologist listed in Tatler Doctors Guide
30 Jan 2013
A University of Manchester skin expert has been selected by an independent panel of GPs, surgeons and physicians to be included in a guide of Britain’s top 250 consultants.
Professor of Dermatology Chris Griffiths will feature in Tatler magazine’s ‘Doctors Guide’ as a supplement to its February 2013 edition. The guide is separated into 34 categories, ranging from allergies to vascular surgery, and its aim is to make it simple for people to find the leading, most experienced consultants.
Professor Griffiths leads the Greater Manchester Dermatology Centre based at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust and is described by the Doctors Guide as being: “At the forefront of radical immune therapies for psoriasis. Famous for leading the research that proved Boots No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Beauty Serum reduced wrinkles, he prides himself on managing the whole patient, taking into account psychological issues.”
Speaking on the recognition from Tatler, Prof Griffiths said: “I am delighted to be named in the Doctors Guide but this, of course, is a reflection of the first class multi-professional clinical and research teams who work with me.”
Prof Griffiths’s work in Greater Manchester has an international reputation and the centre is recognised as one of Europe’s leading dermatology research units. The team conducts clinical, problem-led research that is of direct relevance to patient care and treatment.
