Free concert at The John Rylands Library to mark anniversary of Royal Northern College of Music
The Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a series of 40 free performances taking place in 40 different venues across Manchester and Salford, including the University's iconic John Rylands Library.
The Mistral Duo, formed of flute and harp, will hold a recital in the historic reading room as part of the 'Making music, reaching out' series on Saturday 9 February, 1.30-2.30pm.
Over four decades, more than 5,500 students have passed through the doors of the RNCM, many of whom are now shaping the artistic world in the UK and across the globe, and in 2012 it was named 7th in PRS for Music’s list of the UK’s 100 best live music venues, the only Manchester venue to feature in the top 10.
