Winning recipes on the menu
30 Jan 2013
Recipes dreamt up by staff and students will be on the menu at the University in the coming months, after winning a recipe competition.
The Sustainable Consumption Institute’s ‘What’s Cooking?’ recipe contest challenged people to come up with tasty vegetarian recipes.
Executive Head Chef, Martin Smith, will feature these five winning dishes (and some of the runners-up) in EATS Restaurant, University Place, in the coming months:
- Red Cabbage, Sweet Potato and Kale Super Pizza
Camilla Mørk Røstvik (student)
- Pistachio Pilaf in a Spinach Crown
Stephanie Walters (staff)
- Cheshire Cheese Carbonara
Louise England (staff)
(this replaces the Swede and Apple Casserole recipe published in the February issue of Staff Update)
- Squash, Tomato and Chickpea Curry
Ruby Box (student)
- La Havas Salad Sandwich
Tessa Liburd (staff)
The winners will get the chance to spend a morning in the kitchen with Martin helping to prepare their winning recipes for EATS Restaurant.
An online recipe booklet based on all shortlisted recipes is being produced and will be available at:
