Individuals or teams from the Science Faculties are invited to apply to pitch and present their ideas on Friday 18 January.
You’re invited to bid for funding to support excellent public engagement. This opportunity is open to anyone from the Science Faculties and not only will you get some funding, but you’ll get a mentor to offer valuable advice and guidance along the way. Sound too good to miss?
You can apply as an individual or a team and all you have to do is prepare a pitch and present on Friday 18 January. You need to explain your plans within seven minutes and answer a few questions from the small friendly panel.
You need to be able to deliver the project over the next 12 months and the panel will be looking for enthusiasm, creativity and clarity in your plans. Your idea could win funds up to the value of £150 and not only that but crucially you will be paired with an experienced mentor to help you to put your ideas into practice.
The pitch event will take place on Friday, 18 January 2013 (1-30pm) in the Michael Smith Building. We will meet up in the Michael Smith Lounge for registration, lunch, and networking, followed by Michael Smith Lecture Theatre for pitches.
