How to make an ACTIVE start to 2013!
03 Jan 2013
Tips to motivate you to exercise and active things to do on campus.
Now you have made your exercise goals for 2013, you need to work out how you are going to achieve it and stick with it! Here are a few tips that might help you motivate yourself past the end of January and throughout 2013:
- Buddy up – encouragement and support from friends, colleagues or family members will make it easier to leave the office or the house, especially in the cold winter weather.
- Be realistic – don’t over commit in the first couple of weeks as this is not sustainable. Look at your schedule and make it part of your routine.
- Mix it up – variety is the spice of life! Try and vary your workouts as much as possible so you don’t get bored with doing the same things over and over again.
- Enter an event – give yourself something to aim for. There is nothing like a looming marathon to get you off the sofa!
