A celebration of Ian Kemp – concert and post-concert reception

On Saturday, 10 November (2pm) in The Cosmo Rodewald Concert Hall, The Martin Harris Centre for Music and Drama.
A programme to celebrate the life and work of Ian Kemp (1931-2011), formerly Professor of Music in the University.
Music by:
- Tippett (Piano Sonata No. 2)
- Berlioz (choral music, including Le Ballet des Ombres, and Rêverie et Caprice for violin and piano)
- Hindemith (Viola Sonata Op. 11 No. 4)
- Ian Kemp himself (Fantasia and Carolling)
- Short tributes from composer colleagues from the various stages of his life and career (Raymond Warren, Anthony Gilbert, Raymond Dodd, Philip Wilby, Geoffrey Poole and Hugh Wood)
