Film mixes pharmacogenetics and punk to stimulate debate

The University is hosting Theatre of Debate – Dayglo, a special screening and live debate, on 7 November (12 noon) as part of the Festival of Social Sciences.
A mix of pharmacognetics and punk, Dayglo is a film of a live performance by award-winning Y Touring Theatre Company.
Dayglo explores the issues raised by advances in pharmacogenetics and genetic testing and screening in relation to sickle cell disease and breast cancer.
The film will be followed by a live debate with a guest expert during which audience members are encouraged to discuss the issues posed by the film.

The event is suitable for year 10 upwards (14 years and older) and is open to the public.
