Volunteer as a school governor
14 Nov 2012
If you're interested, come along to the School Governor Initiative recruitment event on Tuesday 20 November in Christie’s Bistro.
Have you ever considered being a governor of a primary or secondary school?
If your answer is ‘Yes’, then you should come and find out more about the University’s School Governor Initiative (UMSGI).
UMSGI is holding an information event in Christie’s Bistro on 20 November where colleagues are invited to drop in throughout the day and speak with University staff currently working as school governors about their role.
You will also be able to speak with representatives from SGOSS about the recruitment process and current vacancies and have a free cup of tea or coffee with staff from the Student Recruitment and International Division who have been involved in setting up the UMSGI initiative.
Vacancies exist in a range of schools and our staff have a wide array of skills and knowledge to offer schools and make a difference.
Drop in from 10.30am to 12 noon and from 1.45pm from 3pm in Christie’s Bistro or come to the presentations in the Council Chamber at 12 noon and 1pm.
Everyone is welcome - just turn up.
