23 Oct 2012
Manchester and Cambridge have become the first two UK recipients of prestigious Siemens Global Ambassador awards in recognition of their wide ranging research collaborations across business sectors and their efforts to engage graduate talent with Siemens.
The President and Vice-Chancellor accepted the award on behalf of the University at a gathering of Siemens and seven leading UK universities at the Crystal in central London on 15 October. The event was held to celebrate and formally recognise the long standing collaborations between the universities and Siemens to develop future generations of graduates and foster research and innovation.
Newcastle, Lincoln, Sheffield, Loughborough and Oxford were also recognised as principal partner universities by Siemens.
