Manchester universities collaborate on Student Disability Sport Day

25 Oct 2012

The University of Manchester, MMU and the University of Salford are holding an inclusive Student Disability Sport Day on Saturday, 27 October (12 noon to 5pm) at the Sport Centre on Salford's Peel Park Campus.

Student Disability Sport Day will launch a campaign on which the three universities in Manchester have been working together to continue the legacy and increase the number of opportunities for disabled students to take part in sport in the city.

All students, disabled or otherwise, experienced or inexperienced, are welcome to come along and have a go at a variety of sports including archery, indoor rowing, dance, cricket and wheelchair basketball, as well as the opportunity to try various activities in the gym and pool.

All sessions will be led by experienced and qualified coaches and volunteers who specialise in disability sport.

Students who require more detailed information about the agenda should register at:

Transport is limited, so each request will be assessed and allocation will be made on a needs basis.
