National computer science competition launches
Young computer scientists of the future have the chance to showcase their skills as entries open for Animation13.
This is the 6th Annual UK Schools Computer Animation Competition, and is open to all UK schoolchildren aged between 7-19.
It’s run by Toby Howard and his team from the School of Computer Science, with the aim being to enthuse school children about all aspects of computer science.
Said Toby: “Last year we had 870 entries from 180 schools across the UK. So please tell your children and their schools about the competition!”
There’s plenty of time to get your entries in – the closing date isn’t until 22 March 2013. Prizes including laptops, iPads, games consoles and mp3 players, will be presented to the winning entries in July 2013.
