Cycle to Work for a free breakfast on Weds 3 October
27 Sep 2012
Plus FREE pre-winter bike checks and security marking
The Corridor monthly cycle rides continue on Wednesday 3rd October at University Place, with additional incentives:
Pre-Winter Bike Health Checks 8.20am – 9.30am
As an additional incentive this month Revolve MCR, a mobile cycle mechanic, will be positioned outside University Place giving your bike a well needed pre-winter health check.
University Security Marking 8.20am – 9am
Ian Halliwell, Crime Reduction Advisor, will be on hand to security mark bikes so they are registered on a University database. If you are not one of the 1000+ who have had their bike marked come along between 8.20am and 9am.
For more details about the scheme and regular bike marking dates go to:
£10 d-locks (£15 after 1st October)
The vast majority of bikes that are stolen at the University have poor quality cable locks. The University is helping you increase your security by subsidising quality d-locks to only £10 (rrp £35). Purchase yours from the online shop.
Please note: All staff and students are eligible but must have their bike marked. It is possible to purchase in advance and collect at a bike marking event but prior arrangement with Ian Halliwell is required. Contact Ian Halliwell at:
