- Would you like to hear some inspiring ideas?
Our monthly lunchtime meetings exploring aspects of public engagement are back. All University students and staff are invited to attend. There is a wealth of expertise across the University in this field and we are running these free events to help us share our ideas and experiences.
What will happen?
This event will be exploring Community Engagement. A few speakers will present short case studies to give a taster of what they have worked on with plenty of time for discussion.
- Sheena Cruickshank, FLS – Worm Wagon and working with Inspiring Sisters
- Jackie Ould, The Race Relations Library – Yemini Community History Project
- Jim Ralley, Humanities – Evaluating the Moss Side Carnival
You will also hear about upcoming opportunities to get involved and you will have chance to have your say too. We will ask to hear your suggestions for topics for future events and if you’re keen to present – let us know.
Who is it for?
Everyone is welcome – no experience in public engagement is needed. We are keen to encourage new people to take their first steps in public engagement, as well as support those with more experience.
There’s no need to book – just turn up! Teas and coffees will be provided, but please bring your lunch along with you.
