More Athena success at the University

Two Schools have recently won Silver and Bronze awards in the Athena SWAN Charter scheme, which recognises commitment to the advancement and promotion of the careers of women in science, engineering and technology in higher education and research.

The University has been a member of the Charter since 2008 and currently holds a Bronze Award.

Iin the recent round of awards, the School of Chemical Engineering and Analytical Science achieved the Silver award and the School of Pharmacy the Bronze award. 

These join the Silver Award held by the Faculty of Life Sciences and the Bronze Award held by the School of Chemistry.

Professor Mike Sutcliffe, Head of School in CEAS, said: "Congratulations to everyone who participated in the applications - you are our most important asset and key to our success".
