My Manchester development underway

As part of work to enhance the student experience, improvements are being made to the My Manchester student portal over the summer.

The changes, which are driven by student feedback and requirements, are being led by the Student Communications Team in the DSE, working with IT Services and Communications and Marketing, as well as an external design agency Wonder Associates.

The main change for September will be a new look and feel for My Manchester, with improved navigation and better presentation of information. The ambition is to make it more intuitive and engaging, and less cluttered, so it’s easier for students to find what they need.

The ultimate aim of My Manchester is to create a highly personalised and tailored central online environment that provides quick and easy access to all the tools, services and information students need to support their experience.

The portal is being developed incrementally every year, based on student feedback on how it could be improved, and also incorporating business requirements that will help enhance the student experience.
