July is staff network group month!

To celebrate this, one event we’re organising is the inaugural INTER-NETWORK QUIZ, which will take place on Thursday 12 July from 5pm.
The idea is for each network to send a team (or two) of five or six people in a friendly battle of wits for a great prize. There will be all the usual ‘standard’ rounds like music, sport, current affairs, but also some specialist rounds concerning the different network groups – so everyone will be able to contribute and enjoy! There will also be refreshments on offer to cater for all tastes!
The event is open to all, even if you’re not yet a staff network group member – but this is the ideal opportunity to join one!
The University currently has the following staff network groups: Black Minority & Ethnic, Christian Network, Disabled Staff, International Staff, LGBT, Muslim, Women in Science, Engineering and Technology and Women returning from Maternity leave.
Each group meets regularly and has its own agenda and terms of reference. They are a fantastic way to network with people from all over the University, build contacts, share experiences, arrange events and socialise. Every member of staff is invited to join any of the staff network groups and although you may not fall into any of the ‘categories’ represented in the current staff network groups, you may have an interest, have a colleague or family member whom you wish to support or simply want to find out more about how the groups work.
