Keep asking students to "Tell Us"
09 May 2012
Encourage students to complete Phase 2 of the Student Barometer Survey - with a chance of winning £500 for their School.
Thank you to everyone who has helped to maximise student response rates to the Unit Surveys (which close on 11 May) by promoting the "Tell Us" campaign during the last fortnight.
However, your continuing help is needed to promote the second phase of the Student Barometer Survey, which remains open until 17 May.
The first phase before Christmas 2011 attracted a fantastic response from more than 8,000 students. They provided a wealth of information which is being used to build a comprehensive picture of the many different aspects of student life at Manchester - and to inform the University’s ambition to provide an outstanding experience.
The data from the first phase is being carefully analysed and over the coming months will be used to inform changes and to make improvements across the University. It will also allow benchmarking globally, within the UK and against the Russell Group.
You can view a summary of key findings from the first phase of Student Barometer at:
It is equally important that students respond to the second phase of the Student Barometer, so that the University can check whether their expectations are being met, and whether previously identified good support and service is being maintained.
So please ask students to "Tell Us" - by taking the Student Barometer Survey before 17 May at:
There is a £500 prize for the School with the best response rate and £500 for the School with the most improved response rate, to be spent on enhancing the student experience.
