Corridor Manchester Cycle to Work Event – Wednesday 2 May
Time to get in the saddle for spring and summer? Then use this event as the incentive you need.
Jump on your bike and join a guided route near you or simply head down individually to the Geoffrey Manton Refectory, MMU (Building No 8) for a FREE breakfast between 8.30am and 9am.
Guided routes are regular or upon request (tell us in advance if you want to join one) and designed to help support newcomers. Friendly Route Guides show the most suitable routes at a leisurely pace and share hints and tips to make your commute a pleasant one.
A great social event for current and new cyclists. All the details are on the University’s Bicycle Users Group’s Website:
Participants also get the chance to win £30 to spend at the Bicycle Boutique in the monthly prize draw.

Let us know why you do and don’t come to the cycling events before 30 April for your chance to win a quality D-lock. All views welcome:
Manchester’s Cycle Challenge
Transport for Greater Manchester have set up a cycle challenge and the University is taking part. With our great cycling culture, can we win this Greater Manchester wide competition?
The challenge is a great chance to encourage colleagues to try cycling and to monitor your own mileage, calories and carbon. There are many prizes to be won!
Individual Schools, departments, teams or buildings can be set up under the University ‘umbrella’ in order to encourage some ‘healthy’ internal competition.
Sign up today. The actual challenge runs from 14 May to 5 June, but you can start logging journeys immediately.
