Sustainable production and consumption:A socio-technical transitions perspective

SCI Seminar by Professor Frank Geels on Thursday 10 May 2012 (11.30am-12.30pm) at The Manchester Business School, Conference Room 3.101.

Frank Geels is Professor at SPRU (Science Policy Research Unit) at the University of Sussex. He is one of the world-leading scholars on socio-technical transitions, and is well known for his conceptual and empirical work on the multi-level perspective and strategic niche management. He has studied more than ten historical transitions, and several contemporary sustainability transitions in energy, food and transport domains.
Frank is chairman of the international Sustainability Transitions Research Network (about 450 members), which organizes international conferences, and is associated with a new Elsevier journal (‘environmental innovation and societal transitions’).
