100 days to go until London 2012
This week marks 100 days to go until the London 2012 Olympic Games officially begins. In celebration of this milestone, we have launched a new section of the website, dedicated to the Olympic Games. The website recognises student athletes from the past 100 years that have represented GB in an Olympic Games and gives details about official events on campus including summer training camps taking place at the University’s sports facilities.

If you are a Gamesmaker or you are volunteering at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, in either Manchester or London, then we want to hear from you! We are bringing together a University Network group which will enable all volunteers to communicate and share resources, information, experiences and most importantly promote your good work.

Join the party and raise cash for Teenage Cancer Trust
Kick start your summer fitness regime with this mass Zumba charity workout in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust! Zumbathon is on Saturday 28th April 2012 from 11am – 1pm at the Armitage Sports Centre, Fallowfield. Warm up your vocal chords because we will be working out to classic Diva tunes.

Rugby Varsity tickets now available
Come and show your support as Manchester take on Salford in the Rugby League Varsity on Wednesday 2nd May, 7:30pm, at Salford City Reds Stadium. Don’t miss this epic battle of the two cities which will have you on the edge of your seat!
Tickets are just £5 each and available to buy from the Sport Reception, William Kay House, 333 Oxford or from the Rugby League club. At the game you will also be given a free pass to the Super League Magic Weekend at the Etihad Stadium.
