University Graphical Processing Units (GPU) Club meeting
10 Apr 2012
Friday 20 April (2-3.30pm) in Room 1.218, University Place
Programming Heterogeneous Many-Cores using Directives
François Bodin, CTO, CAPS Enterprise (France)
François will be discussing a directives approach to programming GPUs using their HMPP Workbench product, a GPU and many-core programming environment.
HMPP enables portable programming across GPUs and multi-core CPUs using directives similar to OpenMP, removing a lot of the complexity associated with programming GPUs.
CAPS is interested in promoting the HMPP Workbench to University of Manchester researchers via a trial version but also to help get the best use of the software by offering support with researchers' test cases.
If you are interested, then please come along to the talk - François is eager to meet researchers who are using (or considering) GPUs in their work.
