The Inaugural Festival of Public Health UK
01 May 2012
On Monday 2 July 2012 at The University of Manchester.
To be opened by Professor Lindsey Davies, President of the Faculty of Public Health
The festival is the first of its kind and will be celebrating public health work from across the UK. It aims to bring together students, researchers and workers from within the field and allow them to display their work, as well as providing the opportunity to network with like-minded people.
As public health is moving into local government, the festival is particularly relevant to people working or soon to be working in this area. It will also be of interest to those in other areas of local government, such as environmental health and sustainability.
The main theme of the festival will be 'Prevention and Screening', but topics for submission may focus on anything related to public health and no weighting will be applied to the topic when abstracts are chosen.
The event is free of charge and refreshments will be provided.
