Big Saturday: Jurassic climate change
Come and see Percy the Plesiosaur at The Manchester Museum. Join us for a day of events celebrating Percy’s redisplay and exploring the Jurassic Climate Change. Make your own Jurassic pictures, have a go at being Jurassic Detectives and handle some Jurassic fossils.
Most activities are free and drop-in. Some activities may need to be booked on the day and may cost up to £1.50. All ages
Sunday 11 March (12-3pm)
The Tech Factor Challenge and Bug Hunt
To complete the Tech Factor Challenge, follow QR code clues to search for examples of technology amongst the Museum’s displays. At each clue in the treasure hunt you will find a person in character to help explain the technology. Look out for the ancient Egyptian mummy, astronaut and polar bear to name a few. In our Bug Hunt, you can look for "bugs" and "germs" pictures that are hidden around the Museum’s Discovery Centre and learn how to clean your hands like a real doctor or nurse! We'll show you just how hard it is to get your hands sparkling clean and show you the way doctors do it with our amazing UV Germ Gel. Brought to you by PhD students from The University of Manchester as part of National Science & Engineering Week.
Free, drop-in, all ages (Bug Hunt is suitable for younger children)
Every Tuesday & Thursday (except school holidays) (12-1pm)

Meet the Museum's live animals and learn about the education and conservation work taking place beyond the displays.
