Fairtrade Market
To celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight, FoodOnCampus and The Manchester Museum will be hosting a Fairtrade Market on Friday 2 March from 10am to 2pm. This will include:
The Manchester Museum
- 10% off featured Fairtrade products in the Museum shop
University Place
- Cake stall selling a selection of delicious cakes including carrot, banana and walnut, chocolate and orange sponge and more for only 99p
- Pancake stall selling pancakes served with a chocolate or orange sauce for only 99p
- Sampling of Fairtrade goodies including muffins, flapjacks and cookies
- A chocolate fountain serving Fairtrade chocolate alongside fresh fruit
Fairtrade Fortnight - Monday 27 February to Sunday 11 March
During Fairtrade Fortnight FoodOnCampus will be offering:
- Fairtrade cakes and scones from 75p
- Piece of cake with a hot drink for £1.49 (offer includes a regular tea or americano)
- 20% off all Fairtrade hoodies
- Five free drinks when you purchase a Hug Mug
Buying Fairtrade can make a big difference to people’s lives as it means those growing and producing the goods have a better chance to work their way out of poverty, through fairer wages and a little extra, called the Fairtrade Premium, to invest in projects to improve life for the whole community.
