The Manchester Museum can help. In the next instalment of their lunchtime “behind the scenes” tours for University staff, Stephen Welsh, Curator of Living Cultures, will take you on a whistle stop tour of 18,000 objects from over 100 countries in the Museum’s anthropology collection – and get you back to your desk in 45 minutes.

Tour of Grave Secrets: Tales of the Ancient Nubians
Tour of Grave Secrets: Tales of the Ancient Nubians - an exhibition of bone specimens and artefacts excavated during the Archaeological Survey of Nubia (1907-1911), revealing the lives of the inhabitants of ancient Nubia, Egypt’s southern neighbour.

The Museum also offers tours of the Vivarium (live animals) every Tuesday and Thursday (12-1pm)
Zoology students from The University of Manchester share their knowledge of the animals and highlight the conservation and education work that the Museum and University does. With monthly tours in Spanish and French.
