Curiosities – Celebrating Trees exhibition at The Manchester Museum
10 Jan 2012
Free entry from 13 January to 5 February 2012.
Exhibition displaying the winning entries from the Curiosities favourite tree photography competition. Competition entrants were asked to take photos of their favourite trees, to create images that tell a story.
One of the winning photos was taken by Alistair Waller, Oldham. The photo was taken in Heaton Park, Manchester and the story behind the photo is:
My three-year-old son Jake loves forests and asks if he can go on an adventure through the trees. I always wonder what he's thinking as he's running between the trees with the stick he’s just found. This tree always makes him stop and look up; after a few seconds he'll turn to me and ask "Dad, when I get bigger can I climb it?"
