Cycling - the realistic New Year's resolution
04 Jan 2012
Get off to a good start at January's Cycle to Work event!
We all know the routine of New Year good intentions that last about four days! Well, cycling as part of your daily commute is one that could last a lot longer.
Whether once a week, all the way from home or either end of a train journey, fitting some cycling into your daily routine is a great way to squeeze some great exercise into your busy lifestyle.
To help get you started, why not take part in our January cycle event on Wednesday 11 January*:
- Join one of our guided routes specifically set up to support newcomers (let us know if you want to join an on-demand route)
- If not feasible then simply come along under your own steam and meet for a free breakfast
- This month the free breakfast and meet will be held at our partner MMU’s Geoffrey Manton Refectory, opposite the Manchester Aquatics Centre, building number 7 on MMU: All Saints & Aytoun campus map
- Come along any time between 8.20am and 9am
- All those who take part are entered into a prize draw for £30 to spend at the Bicycle Boutique
So come along whether new or experienced and get 2012 off to a healthy, low carbon, low cost start. All the details are here:
This event is part of the University’s Travel Plan and forms part of the Corridor Manchester’s partner initiatives:
