Free event on biobanking and personalised medicine

03 Jan 2012

On Wednesday 7 March 2012 (9am - 4pm) at The Nowgen Centre, 29 Grafton Street, Manchester M13 9WU.

The Age of Personalised Medicine: How Manchester’s biobanking experience will make a difference

The power of genomic knowledge is being harnessed to develop new medical approaches such as personalised medicine. Authenticated samples are at the heart of this revolution and will inform the development of future therapies.

Manchester is at the forefront, developing a “hub and spoke” model to provide efficient banking and access for human samples gathered from across the region. The Manchester biobanking network will provide a national platform for researchers to gain access to high quality samples for research. This event is designed to inform you on the developments of this work and to learn more about this valuable resource.
