The impact of politics and economics on access to health care

Staff and students are invited to attend the 2011 annual University of Manchester Medical School Doubleday Lecture to be given by Lord David Owen on Wednesday 26 October (2pm).
The lecture will focus on global health and look at the relationship between politics, economics and access to health care.
Lord Owen was co-founder of the Social Democratic Party established in 1981 and its Leader from 1983 to 1990. He is currently a Director of the Center for International Health and Co-operation.
The Doubleday lecture will be held on 26 October 2011 in Lecture Theatre B, Roscoe Building, Brunswick Street, The University of Manchester, and will be followed by an open Q&A session.
The lecture will start at 2pm prompt and refreshments will follow the lecture at 3pm.
