Promote the November Careers Fairs to your students
01 Nov 2011
Law Fair (22 November) and Postgraduate Study Fair (23 November) at Manchester Central.
There are two remaining fairs in November on the programme of Autumn Careers Fairs, organised by The Careers & Employability Division to assist our students and graduates to further their chances of finding the right job or course of further study for when they graduate.
We do hope you will be able to help promote these two fairs by directing your students to:
The Law Fair - Tuesday 22 November (12.30pm-4pm)
Manchester Central (formerly G-MEX)
100 exhibitors will be attending The Law Fair on 22 November. Visitors can meet with a variety of Law Firms and legal course providers from throughout the UK. Our students are given the best possible opportunity to find jobs, training contracts and courses in the legal sector by face-to-face meetings and they don’t even have to leave Manchester. Key London law firms like Allen & Overy, Jones Day and Clifford Chance exhibit side by side with more local firms and course providers such as The College of Law and representatives from official bodies such as the Bar Council and the Institute of Legal Executives.
The Postgraduate Study Fair - Wednesday 23 November (10.30am-4pm)
Manchester Central (formerly G-MEX)
Over 95 organisations will be giving information on postgraduate courses, not just in the UK but also overseas. Through the Talks Programme, visitors can get advice on funding, studying overseas, getting into teaching, and what is involved in studying for a Masters or a PhD. Hopefully this will encourage some of our students to seriously consider postgraduate study as an option.
Note: Not be confused with the University's own Postgraduate Open Day, originally scheduled for 30 November, which has been postponed due to possible industrial action.
