Road closures in Manchester

The City Council's Highway Services will be carrying out surfacing works on a number of roads from w/c Sunday 2 October.

2-12 October 2011
Whitworth Street (Clayton Lane South to cul de sac at Pottery Lane) and Whitworth Street East (Odell Street to Welcomb Street), Bradford ward

Works will be carried out in two stages, with the relevant section being closed to vehicular traffic, although local access will be maintained where possible. A diversion route via Odell St - Ashton Old Road - Bertha St will be in place when Whitworth Street East is being surfaced.

4-13 October 2011
Greenside Street, Bradford ward (1. Bill Williamson Close to Meech Street and 2. Ashton Old Road to Parkhouse Street) commencing , weather permitting

The relevant section of road will be closed to vehicular traffic, with the following diversion routes (although local access will be maintained where possible): 1. Parkhouse St - Clayton La - Greenside St; 2. Parkhouse St - Bartlett St - Ashton Old Rd.
