Energy consumption data for University buildings now online
10 Aug 2011
The University of Manchester has launched the first phase of its Carbon Credit Scheme (CCS).
The CCS forms part of a series of initiatives to manage energy use and University carbon emissions. It aims to produce an energy and carbon footprint for each University building, using consumption data from locally installed meters, which is then uploaded to a central database, analysed, profiled and published via the University’s website.
You can view the data published so far on the University Sustainability website at:
Further updates will be available in September and October and further phases of the scheme will roll out during the course of 2011/12 (see the above website for more details).
