On Sunday 7 August, The Manchester Museum will be going along with some Museum objects and activities to The Manchester Picnic in Piccadilly Gardens.
Piccadilly Gardens will be transformed into a foodie family oasis, with delicious food and drink stalls, large themed picnic area and bags of family entertainment. The Manchester Picnic is the perfect picnicky day out.
Enjoy award-winning alfresco cuisine from Manchester’s top eateries; Abode, Aumbry, Harvey Nichols, Mint Hotel and The Mark Addy will dish up delicious seafood salads, picnic hampers, smoothies, home-made vegetable crisps, strawberries & cream, lemonade – and we welcome Robert Owen Brown’s Marvellous Meat Emporium.
Plus join the Teddy Bear’s Picnic on Sunday 7 August. As well as kids’ workshops with The Manchester Museum, you can dance along with Twinkle the Bear. Special Build a Bear goodie bags for the first 100 best-dressed teddy’s are up for grabs (terms & conditions apply), plus the picnic’s best-dressed bear will win a five-person family tent (worth £170) and camping games from GO Outdoors.
