Applications are now invited for the 2011 EPSRC Doctoral Prize.
The University of Manchester EPSRC Doctoral Prize 2011 is an opportunity for the most outstanding EPSRC-funded PhD students to receive up to twelve months of additional support following their PhD.
The aim of the scheme is to enable them to take their research to the next level and help them to prepare for an academic research career.
As well as building on and publishing papers from their PhD research, EPSRC Doctoral Prize Fellows are expected to take their research to the next level and undertake significant new work.
The University will offer Fellows a range of high-quality skills and careers training, including business plans, enterprise and entrepreneurship and grant-writing.
The deadline for applications is 15th August 2011.
