Scientists wanted to take part in this year’s Manchester Science Festival

Help is required with scientific analysis at Laughter Yoga Workshop on Monday 24 October 2011 (5.30pm).
The Martin Harris Centre for Music and Drama will be hosting a participatory Laughter Yoga Workshop in October 2011 as part of this year’s Science Festival. The objective of the workshop is to learn and experience the scientific benefits, meanings and uses of laughter in our lives, combined with gentle exercise and yogic breathing.
We are keen to hear from any scientists who may be interested in helping with the scientific analysis part of the workshop, and in particular to investigate the effect that laughing itself has on our bodies. This may involve the use of physiological testing equipment to see how the body responds to laughter, for instance measuring BP and stress hormones.
