Vote for Manchester Science Festival to win £5,000!

Manchester Science Festival is taking part in a competition run by the Co-op to win £5,000 to engage with the public.
Manchester Science Festival is a unique and creative programme of events and projects, engaging young people with the most cutting-edge and innovative science in Manchester and from across the world. Young people can learn how to create fashion from recycled materials, debate the latest innovations with the experts, make robots from old technology, or even use their own talents to engage an audience with local research.
The Festival programmes events for families, teenagers and young adults, but also creates projects which actively engage young people in development and delivery. With a particular focus on involving young people who would not normally attend a science event and are traditionally considered hard-to-engage, its projects bring people together from a variety of backgrounds to share learning, develop skills, and produce cutting-edge and relevant programming.
This year, Manchester Science Festival celebrates its fifth year; its aim is to develop the most creative and diverse programme yet, involving young people from across the region, and inspiring the innovators and scientists of tomorrow.
If the Festival won the £5000 prize, it would use the money to provide opportunities for young people in Manchester and across the North West to take an active part in the development of projects for this year's Festival programme and provide an exciting programme of events.
