FREE Cycle Package – 50 places up for grabs
03 May 2011
Do you drive to the University but have considered cycling?? Then this offer is for you!
Michael Bane, Bike User Group Chair and National Environmental Hero, has successfully received external funding to promote cycling to staff car drivers. The package on offer includes:
- Free cycle Hire for two weeks
- Free cycle training
- Support and advice from Bike User Group (UMBUG) members
- Incentives for taking part
This package is being offered to 50 University staff members who drive to work, in order to provide the opportunity to really evaluate the experience. UMBUG members will be on hand, if desired, to come along when collecting the bike. The bikes are provided by Cycles Recycled and there will be a choice of suitable new bikes to choose from.
Everybody taking part in the scheme will also receive a pack containing a high quality lock, a set of lights, a high-visibility vest and a bike helmet: yours to keep!
UMBUG members can also offer advice on routes between home and work, joining you along the way if you'd find that useful.
